Events Race details: When: Saturday July 10th race starts at 12 noon Where: Adventure Mine - Greenland, MI What: Expert Men 4 laps/24miles Expert Women 3 laps/18 miles Sport Men 2 laps/12miles Sport Women 2 laps/12miles Kids race TBD Steep climbs, rolling singletrack, fun descents, and riding with bats. The race takes place at the Adventure Mine in Greenland, MI. Part of the 6 mile lap is through the mine. Lights will be required. Because of the total darkness a GOOD headlamp is necessary. Note: The number of laps and length of each lap may change an the organizer's discretion. Friday, July 9, 2010 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm: registration and racer check-in 6:00 pm: Open Camping Area Free for racers No bonfires in main camping area 6:30 pm: Mine and racecourse open for prerace ride Saturday, July 10, 2010 9:00am- 11:00am Registration open 11:50am Racers meeting and start lineup 12:00am Exrert Racers start 12:10am Sport racers start 3:15pm (Tentative) Awards and schwag toss 3:30pm Kids race followed by awards 4:00pm After-race mountain bike social gathering with bonfire, camping (FREE), bike games, and trail ride if anyone has any energy left. Sunday, July 11, 2010 Trails open for riding if you haven't had enough. 11:00am Mine open for tours all racers will receive a tour discount coupon in their racer packet. Camping info: Free camping is available on-site to registered racers and their family and no additional charge. Camping is on the primitive side, however porta-poties and water will be available. Registration: $35 preregistration on Active.com (May 1 through July 3); $45 thereafter; on-site registration July 9 and 10.
